    First Service

Pastor Richard E. Collins along with his wife, Jeannie, and two daughters, held the very first service of the First Apostolic Church of Dublin on December 23, 1986, in the home of the late Eugene Johnston and his wife, Mary Jane. This initial service began with six in attendance.

    Bible College and Family

Pastor Collins is a graduate of the Apostolic Bible Institute (1970), as is Jeannie (1969). They met in Bible school and after an 18 month courtship, were married on April 5, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio with the late Paul W. Kiner officiating. The Collins have two daughters, Tami Kelly and Cristina Kalbes. Cristina Kalbes attends the church in Dublin, Ohio. Darrell and Tami Kelly pastor the church in Mt. Sterling, OH. Pastor and Sister Collins have two grandchildren, Breanna and Evan Kalbes.

    Florida Ministry

In 1970, upon graduation, Richard and Jeannie assisted Pastor A.J. Worley in New Port Richey, Florida for 18 months. Their first pastorate was in the city of Port St. Joe, Florida in 1972. From there they moved to St. Augustine, Florida in 1976 to establish a United Pentecostal Church in the oldest city in the nation.

    Missionaries

In 1978, they were appointed as missionaries to the nation of Switzerland and served in that capacity until February 1983. In addition to Switzerland, Pastor and Sister Collins served as missionaries to Germany.

    Pastoring in Dublin, Ohio

Upon returning from the mission field, a planned 3 week visit in Columbus resulted in 19 years of ministry in the area.

Pastor Collins and his wife, Jeannie, extend a warm welcome to you, and are here to serve your spiritual needs.
